ACV help

So i have blocked off my acv and put risistors in the plugs. My question now is can i just plug the vacum hoses coming off the acv or if they need to be re routed. I have done a lot of searching but cant find a clear answere. I have read that if you remove your acv you need to upgrade your fuel preasure regulator? I am on a tight budget and it would definetly set me back a bit putting together all those an fittings and the new regulator.
