auto tranny won't shift in high rpm

my auto transmission shifts fine in slow driving and cruising speed`s.when i go fast it and/or after 5,000rpm it will not shift,it (i believe) makes the car over boost over 10psi.has anyone experienced this before?

I guess I don't quite understand the "when I go fast and/or after 5000 rpm" part.
If you look at the FSM, it shows the various shift points for the various throttle positions, and WOT creates a very aggressive shifting pattern. If you are hitting 5000 rpm in overdrive....you are SMOKING right along at about 142....and the car isn't going to shift anymore....
