Actuators Trobleshooting Guide - Post your tech

Why don't we try to summarize how to troubleshoot the boost control actuators? (Charge, wastegate, turbo, turbo precontrol actuators)

These questions could help:

- Is the rod retracted or extended with the car off, car on, key on, etc?
- Should we be apply pressure or vacuum for testing?
- Should we see the rod retract or extend during pressure/vacuum?
- Any other. Be creative.

Please post your techniques. This could be the ultimate guide for those of us with boost problems.

Rod should be out when off and in when on. Depends on what acuator side to apply pressure or vacuum. Rod will go in on vacuum and out with no vacuum(not actually sure on this going off my head).

Don't expect to many more answers to this thread, most people in here are busy on the "look at the blingy blingy ebay auction I found."
