actuator for the charge control valve movement

Still working on this rpm surge issue. Sorry about all the posts.

tonight I noticed That the actuator for the charge control valve is moving. Is it normal for it to move this much or be this noisey when the idle is bouncing like this? Is this a symptom of the bad idle or the cause ? My car is not sequential. It’s bnrs setup to run parallel

There is no simple answer that anyone can give to help you, like “yes, it’s this part, replace X.” The actuator is just an effect caused by the real problem. The problem is a vacuum leak. Read this: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...uncing-1147118

Based on my own experience, getting a smoke machine is affordable now, $40 or less, and you’ll find the vacuum leak within 20 minutes. You’ll be surprised where leaks can come from, for example the quad O-rings on the throttle body.

Side note, you've been a member here since I was in first grade, glad to see OG's still around.

That part shouldn't even be present on a non sequential car. The only actuator you should have is the wastegate.

@CREEPENJEEPEN youd think i know more by now. Truth is all my cars been good to me so i didnt learn about boost leaks etc. You young people are an incredibly intelligent bunch, you dont get enough credit..

I am shopping for smoke machine literally right now. Do i need one that can pressurize the system to 5ish psi to find a leak?
