Every car is different (there are many factors involved) but my stock FD typically sees around 195-200F. Sounds like you need an aftermarket water temp gauge......

Do you have an aftermarket temp gauge?

180 - 220 F, depending on driving conditions is normal operating temp, if I'm not mistaken.

before the thermoswitch I would see around 190 op. temp- all the way up to 220 before the fans would kick on, which was a little too close for comfort, I installed the Miata thermoswitch and now they kick on at around 210 which is much better for me. I also live in a cool, dry, dense air place, so temps never get too out of hand.

The water is the same temperature as everything around it. If it has been 45 degrees all night, and your car has been sitting, your water temp will be 45 degrees first thing in the morning. If this didn't help, it's probably because your question cannot be answered.

Seriously, how can anyone give you ANY answer given that you have provided ZERO information.
