NC ACT ZX3-XTMM Clutch Install Issue

Ok so I finally started putting my car back together and noticed the pressure plate in the kit doesn't seem to be compatible with the friction plate. The springs on the friction plate hit the spring on the pressure plate before the friction material contacts the friction surface. I know from prior experience this isn't good. Has anyone had this happen before? I'm quite baffled as to what to do now...

By friction plate do you mean the clutch disk? You may have the disk on backwards.....

I have the disc on properly, it's just not contacting the pressure plate when not installed. It has a flywheel side sticker on it. I guess I'll snap a few photos.

Well with this particular version of the ACT clutch it's normal for that to happen. Just continue on installing it.
