act pressure plate vs exedy

Anyone know the clamping load differencec between the act heavy duty pressure plate vs the exedy stage one pressure plate. Its the one that comes with the organic disc. I've read that the act one holds 40% more than stock and can hold up to over 300 lbs. I just bought a exedy clutch kit for a real good deal. I recently installed the same kit on a fd and the pedal feels very similar to the act pressure plate. I wont be doing and drag racing but mainly street and road racing. Engine is stock with all the normal mods and a high flow cat without a boost controller. I think the exedy should be fine for my needs. I know the act is a good pressure plate but its about $300 for just the pressure plate and i got the exedy kit for a lot cheaper. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Just the same the exedy stage one has slightly less clamping capacity than the Act HD but both have more clamping capacity than stock. I'm sure the differences are marginal at best! If youre not planning on going crazy with mods either will hold up for a long time! The stock pp starts to give out at around 280 rwhp(dont know if that holds true when brand new) but again, youre not planning on putting that much down.

I'm trying to keep the car as stock as possible so the power output should be pretty mild. I dont want to have to put back too much stuff to pass the smog test. I have talked to other fd owners and they like the exedy clutch and have not had any problems with it. I guess exedy it is. I cant wait to put in my rebuilt tranny and my rb flywheel with the exedy clutch.
