accessing foglight wiring

i just received my foglights in the mail, my car is a touring model, so the wiring should be in place...the fog light cradles already were there

where should I look for the wires? I've lookd all around, took off the intercooler->intake duct, and I can't see any further down in there without removing the fuse box assembly and maybe the intercooler ducting

help!?

ok well the lights that you ordered are they aftermarket? If so and you have the stock foglights.... clip the harness from the stockers and wire them onto the new ones... remember black is black and the other is positive... make sure to match them up. where they hook up to is in the front end sit in front of the car and use a light to look to the left and to the right of main opening (for radiator) they should be body clipped on each side. thats the easy way the hard way is much to hard for me!
Good luck,
Ryker

P.S. Here is a pic of my aftermarket lights installed

no, they're stock ones...

i see only one female harness with two prongs, identical to the ones on the foglights

maybe there is a harness that connects to this and provides two males for the foglights? can someone help me out here?

whoever took off the foglights also pulled the relay, so i'm guessing someone with an R1 or base pulled them along with everything they needed

The wiring is in the nose of the car. If you have skinny arms like me, you should be able to reach down there and push them out into the intake area. If you can't reach them, you might have to take a bunch of stuff off.

so there is no intermediate harness that goes between both foglights to another harness?

can't remember exactly but I had to get my fog lights to work, so the relay for the light is beside the horn relay, which is right beside the battery. There should be a inline fuse(mine was fried) that goes from the power supply to the relay, then just follow the wires down into the front of the car.... gees that sounds goofy... hope you find it!

Each foglight has its own connector. Do you have the touring model? If so, you should have a foglight switch already in your car. If you have the switch, then you have the harness. It is in the nose of the car. You will have to take off the air duct router (don't know what its called, the thing that moves air between the intercooler and the intake). Then look down in the nose and you should see a wire harness with two connectors coming out of it, one for the left light and one for the right light. Like I said, if you have skinny arms like me, then you can just reach down there and push the wires through to the front. If not, you're going to have to find some other way to get them out! Good luck!
