Acceleration problem

I've had some problems when trying to accelerate. First gear goes just fine, but when 2nd gear reaches 5.5k rpm fuel injection cuts off. Same thing with 3rd gear but about 3k rpm. 4th and 5th stops alittle bit earlier. If I manage to play with the gears so that when I shift gears up the rpm is higher than that fuel cut point, I can drive normally until the rpm lowers to that cut off point.

I read the fault codes and the only code was Intake Air Thermosensor so I replaced that sensor. Now if I push pedal to the floor I can accelerate with 3rd gear like normal. It requires full throttle or it stumbles. All other gears -> no effect.

Any ideas where to start looking?

Seeing as you replaced the sensor did you disconect the battery and pump the brakes a few time to reset the ecu?

I did reset the ECU and verified it by checking the codes again.

Only mod for now is bigger radiator.
Besides that it's in original condition '92 R1 with 50k miles.

Don't know if it's linked to that problem but first time when this happened the odometer was completely blank after I started the car. And it still is. After warmup I accelerated and...no go.

I guess odometer might be because of a bad ground but I doubt acceleration problem is. And I'm totally confused because it is only those rpm that causes problems. Below or higher and it's normal. For some reason fuel cut off happens at those points.
