acceleration at idle

i just finish installing my tb now every time i turn on the car it accelerates by itself up to 6k +, i immediately turn off the car after. what could be wrong?

Your air bleed screw is probably backed out all the way.

Go check that.

If that turns out ok, check the slack of the throttle cable.

Only one way you'll get revs like that, a HUGE vacuum leak or the throttle body stuck open. My guess is something's jamming up the throttle body.

Did you make sure to plug in the TPS connector? I've left off an electrical connector off my TB before and the rpms just started to climb similar to your description.
