ABS Light Stays On Any Tests to Narrow

The ABS light has been on since we have had the car. I've read the posts and the Service Manual. Just wondering if there is a way without the dealer tester to narrow it down. I know the diagnostics can tell you if it is a wheel sensor etc. but can you get this info without the tester?

We've unhooked the battery to see if it reset, no change. Visually inspected the sensor lines and sensors to make sure they are all there, they are.

Has anyone fixed the light on issue?

thanks

the sensor wire that goes to the passenger wheel is too close to the turbos. I've had the wire cover completely melt off of mine. It would cause problems when it would rain.
