ABS Brake Problem
ABS Brake Problem
Hey guys will i have a prob...my ABS brake light came on and i started to hear a buzzing noise coming from the engine...and yeah i think my ABS went out, but I still have brakes and everything..anyone with some insight about my prob? and how much it costs to fix that if that is the case? and also I had to take the fuzz out so the buzzing coming from my ABS woulnd't run my battery out. Thanks!
The ABS relay is sticking. It's inside the little plastic box on top of the ABS pump. Put the fuse back in and if the buzzing starts again trying tapping on the relay. If that makes it stop you know you need a new relay.
and if that doesnt work go around to each wheel...and pull each wheel and look behind the hub to see if the abs sensor is still clearly and tightly mounted to the hub of each wheel...peaceout

The only way the pump can run if the key is off is if its relay is stuck closed.
Damon,
Ever seen an ABS condition where the ABS sporadically kicks in for a very short period upon coming to complete stop.
Let's say a moderate braking from 35-0 mph, and right around .5 mph as you're still on the brakes you feel a quick ABS chatter.
Dry pavement, no gravel or anything of that nature.
