Abs ?

odd thing happened to me as i was coming home today...

the abs light came on inside the car and there was a rattling/buzzing sound coming from my engine bay. i pulled over and the ABS controller/unit was vibrating. even with the car off, it was still buzzin and the light was still on. i disconnected the battery to reset the system and nothing happened.

i pulled the fuse (i think it was a fuse) and plugged it back i later, and it did the trick! im glad that my car is NORMAL again, but does anybody know what couldve caused it? TIA

by the way, the brakes were workin fine during this whole ordeal.

Ah yes, a stuck ABS solenoid. You brakes will work fine, however your ABS will not. It WILL drain your battery if you leave it alone while it's making that noise. What you can do, is pop the hood, and tap that little black box up by the passenger firewall (where all the brake lines are, and the noise is coming from). It will stop hissing/whatever. Or you can pull the fuse, and drive around without ABS.

But yes, the solenoid should be replaced to fix the problem.

I have the problem sometimes too...yeah I just pull the abs relay and it stops...is that something to worry about? I rarely hit ABS on the streets anyways....
