about fuel pressure regulator?

Hey is it really necessary to change the stock fuel pressure regulator for an aftermarket type like SR? Also does anyone know if the stock fuel pressure regulator fail?thanks

Good question. I think that the answer is dependent on how much WOT fuel flow do you want. I am not positive, but I'm pretty sure that the peak flow rate of a stock regulator is by far less than what an aftermaket regulator could or would offer. I also don't think that the stock regulator can be manually adjusted for setting return feed pressure and or peak pressue. So, I would think that yes, if you are looking for the fullest potential.
