99spec oil cooler ducts...
I searched around a bit and from what I've read the only option is some fiberglass ones that apparently aren't that impressive, so I am attempting to make my own out of plastic. I have the master patterns made and should finish the plaster copies in the next day or two, so hopefully I will have some pvc "prototypes" by the end of the week. The final ones will be made from ABS, probably 1/16 thick.

That is kind what I was thinking. These are based on 99 oem bumper and R2 twin oil coolers, which happen to be different sizes... but maybe i was the only one who didnt know that.
I wanted to test my table tonight so I used an outside mirror, its about the same height as half of a duct (yes they will be made in half's). I didnt turn out too bad, I just need to make a follower and better guides for the frame - to - table alignment.

No progress tonight... the plaster still isnt cured so its impossible to sand. Just for fun I am making foam bucks to test my table size and heating time. I have been looking around for a good price on 1/16 abs sheets, so if anyone knows of a good, cheap source please post here.

update: the plaster bucks took almost a week to fully cure so in the mean time I tested some thicker material and decided I need a more powerful machine. Before that can happen I had to make some room in the garage, which meant a new mobile fab table. The table is almost done and I am hoping to start building the forming machine this week sometime.
