99 Wing guys chime in please!

I am getting my 7 repainted this month and i am putting on a new 99 front end and lip, and i am debating putting on the 99 wing as well.

here is the question??????

Does the 99 wing fit in the stock holes of the r1 wing. The reason i ask is because the rx7store says on there website that it fits in the stock holes but i have heard that it doesnt, can someone that has added this wing to their seven please set this straight for me.

Thanks
Thomas

I have read that several times, but with the R1/2 wing there isa extra hole that you will have to fill that is visible outside of the footprint of the 99 pedestal.

Yes, there will be visible holes in your hatch. The body shop should be able to fill these and deal with them easily.

Your gonna have to locate & drill the vigin hatch. Easier said than done without a template..........

I would think if it's in the shop for paint it would be easier to fill the extra hole.

That's what I did.
