I seen many of you guys have done your own 99 spec taillight conversions but check mine out. Tell what u think. I used a sticker(vinyl) and cut the holes out.

most people cut out circles and paint them I however did not wanted to know if u noticed the difference????

Maybe if the pic was a bit bigger. Either way, hope it works for ya. Not sure how long that adhesive will hold up.

I tried to get closer, but something about the light reflecting off the lamps was messing up the camera.(Icant tell the difference between 99 and these IMO)

looks the same as if you painted it. But how well will the vinyl hold up to the heat from the taillights?

 

Some of my friends said the same thing but the sticker maker man said it should'nt be a problem so we will see.

 

my 99 fakes are stickers.. i dont get what the big deal is. are you trying to re-invent the wheel?

 

...how "thick" of a sticker are those overlays? Depending on thickness level...the light may somewhat shine through at night when lights are on. Let us know how it goes...

 

Im sorry I am new to the Rx7 world and I wanted some 99 taillights and wanted to know peoples opion on putting stickers on instead of painting them.

Anyhow, how does it look at night when lights are on...does it shine through?
