I sound like a moron but aesthetics have never been my strong part

how can i change my brake light i have a 94tt with 99 efini circle tails.. i take the back plastics out and i cant get to it and i take the top plastic off and theres nothin under that?

help?

 

slide it side ways away from the center off the car and it should pop off
