99' Spec Upgrades

Hey I was wondering if i can use a 99' Spec Engine in my 93'. I was planning on rebuilding but my uncle lives in japan and im pretty sure he can hook me up with a engine. So my questions would be

1. Would it Fit?
2. Would I have to modify anything else to be able to put the 280 hp engine into my FD?
3. How much would it cost to make a Japanese RX-7 legal here in the USA
4. Does japan still produce rx-7 back there.

I would ask my uncle questions 4 but I dont have his number right now and I dont feel like waking up my parents for it.

Thanks
Phil

i don't see what the point is in getting a 99 engine. It's the turbo that makes 280hp not the engine itself. Save yourself time and money and just get a mana motor or something

he's right, the engine really has no difference except for the fact that it's newer. The new Turbo's are what give it the extra HP.
