I'm sure hes talking about the 99 turn signals, not tail lights. Good luck finding them, you have to be patient because they only pop up once in a blue on eBay.

www.rhdjapan.com has some alternatives and they ship to you within two weeks. Website is down right now though. I wanted the black ones but they only had the CF look in the style I wanted so I had the body shop guys paint the inside black.

I am putting my OEM (Stanley) 99 turn signals up for sale soon. My left unit though is slightly warped because I tried to heat the lens off for a project. No one else noticed but I am pretty ****.

Will do. They are currently on the car at Kilo Racing in Orlando while my other pair is retrofitted with Audi style LEDs. This will be completed early in the week and I hope to go down on Tuesday or Wednesday.

In the meantime, here is a shot of the turn signal assembly in question:

Note the slight bend in the lens cover on the upper center and lower right sections of the cover? I was told you could heat up the unit to pull off the lens cover but I learned this is not the case! The glue didn't even budge.

The replicas have had quality problems in the past, to include water clouding behind the lens and warping. Those may have been addressed in the more recent copies.

It's a personal choice---personally I choose to steer clear of replicas and copies in most cases, unless the authentic products are impossible to find or priced in the stratosphere.

The OEM combo lights aren't $500 per pair brand new, and after I bought my URAS set, I think I sold my good condition used Stanleys for around $250 or so. They are available for a reasonable price, you just have to look around.

Im not sure how other people feel, but Nengun (http://www.nengun.com/) seems to be a pretty good source. That and like others have said; RHDJapan.com.

Does anyone know if you can heat these apart like we do the tails?

I been trying to find a set for almost 3 weeks, and the ones that are real always have damage to them. If these will come apart i can paint them suckers to look like the oem ones.

Oven at 200 degrees first for 5 minutes and then an additional couple of minutes. The glue didn't even budge.

I almos looks like the superglue stuff and the edges appear to be pinched together.

I bought another set from rhdjapan:

http://www.rhdjapan.com/uras-front-c...mps-fd3s-58024

These come right apart and are held together by a few tabs. Note they don't have the black ones anymore, only cf, so you'll need to paint the inside if you want black.
