Does ANYONE or ANY vendor have a '99 spec bumper I can purchase? They say everyone is on backorder............. why is this? Did the Bumper manufacturer in Japan burn to the ground, or what?

Someone Help! Car gets paint in a week! I never would have dreamed of these issues!

Mainly because as time goes by, the S6 look is finally aging. People want something more modern, something that can blend in with the styling of today.

Cause you have to admit, the front looks like an old miata. I had alot of people tell me this already.

BTW, im also "in line" for the 99 front. I cant wait til i convert it already.

Uh, news flash: RX-7 parts aren't exactly high on Mazda's list of priorities. There will come a point where they run out and they aren't making any more.

My idea is that when everyone starts getting 99 spec front bumpers then the s6 look will get more rare. I honestly think the 99 spec front end looks to happy, or should I say "gay". Another idea could be a body kit with those nice looking corner lights or whatever they are. I think the only good looking part of thr 99 spec bumper is the turn signal. O well to each his own.

im not sure about Japan, but i DO know that manufacturors here in the US are only required to keep parts on hand for a car for 10 years, after that, its a crap shoot. I got one of the last OEM S6 US bumper in the country when mine had to be replaced xD took 5 months to track one down and finally found it in Cali xD

 

I just purchased one from Rx-7.com and they had ALL of the components in stock. Mary told me they always try to keep one in stock.

They sell it in kit form, which includes the combo lights. If you don't need them, be sure to tell them.

Called them last week and spoke to mary. Then got a confirmation that i should be getting it tomorrow!!!

Yup, rx7.com is great because they stock many many parts that other vendors don't. I remember being in their inventory room years ago and they had over a dozen Greddy T-78 kits in stock

Yes, they had a 99 spec front bumper. Mine came out to $1300+, cant rememebr exactly how much. Also, I am in TX so I had to pay tax.
