Its not the other vendors dont stock them, its I cant keep them in stock. Thats the disadvantage of selling them cheaper. RX7.com wont sell as many but they do make more money on them.

Because of supply and demand. Ramy and rx7store are not charging $525 for the bumper and rebar... thats just for the bumper. I think the rebar is like an additional ~$400 or so.

1) Yes they're super hard to get state-side.

2) I can get 'em from Japan, but they'll obviously be more expensive than sourcing 'em from the US, given the extra shipping charge. But otherwise they can be had quite quickly. So if some ppl really want the bumper now, I can make it happen, as long as they don't mind paying a lil extra.

3) I sell a pretty nice (the nicest I've found) plateless replica, only because there's a lot of demand for a plateless bumper. Fitment's pretty good, and it's made of urethane, like the OEM bumper.

Thanks,
~Ramy

Where are you getting your math from?

Rx7store charges 1325.00 for the entire front end. Bumper, rebar, combo lights and 99 lip.

Rx7.com charges 1394.00 for the entire front end. Bumper, rebar, combo lights and 99 lip.

For the bumper alone, rx7store is 459.00 and rx7.com is around 595.00.

So where are you getting 500 dollars cheaper from? If they have bought everything seperate? Even then thats not right and who would buy the 99 spec conversion piece by piece when they can save money buying the one shot deal from either of those places.

my mistake, I assumed that RX7.com had JUST the bumper priced at 996, didn't realise it was the entire front end...makes all the difference!

Ramy,
Im interested in the plateless bumper, but I want a GOOD fit, not like the junk *** Burnout front end I had to pay $2k to fit right. How "good" is the fitment?
Thanks,
Ernie

Ernie, good means you won't have to spend more money in trying to get the bumper to fit than you spent on the bumper itself But I def. would NOT say this is a piece you can fit perfectly in your own garage; professional installation is required.

Re: the Burnout parts, I TOLD everyone to go w/ original parts, but ppl just don't listen...what can I do?

The Hiroshima factory doesn't keep and endless supply of parts - ESPECIALLY for a car that hasn't been in production since 02. If a vendor comes in and buys out all their stock on a certain item (which I myself have done) - then you have an instant shortage.

The only parts you will find always in stock are items which are used cross-platform (such as solenoids). Waits of a month or more aren't unheard of.

I have a question...

Would it be easier/cheaper to have a body shop I know of (does other fiberglass work) just shave a 99 oem bumper OR buy the copy that already has no bumper plate and have them work to get it to fit?
