That's WAY low. I bet there's alot more than that with the 99 front end. There will be even more when Chuck group buy goes through.

If you are going with the 99 spec, get the real thing. The replicas (w/o the front plate holder) look kinda weird in my opinion. Plus, there is something to be said for OEM parts fitting on the car and lasting longer than fiberglass.

I like the 99 spec. The openings do improve the looks a lot. There are some better looking front ends, i like the mazdaspeed as well. However huge advantage of the 99spec- Its polyurethane. No worries about shattering the front end cause you accidentally bottom out once or twice

I don't know bricke, I might be right.. I been to DC/VA/MD get together last OCT and saw one car with 99 front. At the Rotary Revolution in INDY (both years), I think I saw 2 w/99 front (I think one was mine).. At Gotham racing, I saw one with 99 front.. This past July (maybe Aug) I went down to Tampa for MRCCFL get together.. Saw 0 FD's with 99 front..

Also, seeing seven stock pics, only car with 99 was rzograbian's..

Less than 40 could be true..

if you get 99 front...might as well get 99 belly, 99 oil cooler ducts, 99 brake ducts(is that what they're called? under the oil cooler), then what about the R1 wing??

Rich's looks good, I think the rims set it off. But a 99 front with 93 wheels looks like *** together. I think a 99 front and 99 rims and 93 wing would look like *** as well.

not saying its played out, but i would say there is over 100 99 spec fronts in the US. i have seen so many at different events. the shop i go to has at least 5 fds with the 99 spec bumper at any given time.

imo 99 spec is probably the best looking body modifications someone can do right now and for the long run. in the future say 5-10 years from now current body kits will probably look like crap. think of how many people had the veilside at some point and now it looks disgusting.

So true. Do what makes you happy. Why try to please everyone else. It won't be too much fun if every FD looked exactly the same. Just my .2$

This always cracks me up. The big plate holder debate, with or without.

Check out how many photos of cars with 99 OEM bumpers don't even have a plate installed????? What's the point???? Now that looks stupid!

OEM parts fit better & lasting longer?

Where the hell do you think they get the mold to make the fiberglass part? From the OEM part! Does fiberglass have a 1/2 life? Are all those 50's-60's Vettes going to crumble into dust any day now?

Typical **** who believes & repeat everything he has ever read on the internet as the gospel.

Goes like this.........

I heard from this guy who said his friend read somewhere that a mechanic said that it's bad!! I am not sure why, but he had a RX7, years ago, so he knows his ****!

Oh yea, have to finish with................

that's my $ .02

My car has no plate & no plate holder & is made from fiberglass. Should I cross my fingers??? Gosh do I look dumb now!!!!

Hey Carson,

i am planning on getting the cooler ducts and brake ducts, but need source them. The oil cooler openings on the 99 front are ~100% bigger than on the oem bumper. I also agree that the 99 bumper looks like **** with the stock wheels. I have seen that on my car and it was nasty.

Btw, Matty Alston speaks very highly of you and your fd knowledge & work, just fyi

Mazda comp for the brake ducts ($50 ea side) & air diverter ($20, goes between the rebar & frame, behind the bumper, fills in the gap).

R magic for "fiberglass" oil cooler ducts. Similar to the stock oil cooler ducts. Only designed to perfectly fit the 99 front end. A little pricey @ $150 pr., but hey it's only money.

i thought you could use the stock 93-95 undertray?? whats the difference between that and the newer 99 one?

I have a type 2 Feed bumper and I'm thinking of changing it to a 99 oem bumper. You guys think it's worth it.

I think the 93 wheels look fine with the 99 bumper.

I'd say 99+ body worth because there is no fitment problem unless you buy the REAL japanese aftermarket brand but its more expensive shipped to US.
