95 ECU work in a 93?

Will the ECU from my 95 non-cali work in a 93 non-cali? I know the 95's don't have an EGR. Is that an issue?
Thanks!

Just a shot in the dark, but in 95 it was law that car makers had to use a OBD2. so most cars 94 and back are OBD1 which is not compatable. I honestly don't know about this one, but that is how it is in Integra's and 240SX's.

... pretty sure that '96 was the first year of ODB2 - hence there being no more RX7s in the states beyond '95. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure.

I know a '94 ECU will work in a '93 if that helps at all. ::shrug::

Yep, 96 was first mandatory year for OBD-II. A 95 ecu will work in a 93 -- there shouldn't be any problems.

Sorry to dig this thread up from the past guys but I have a gentleman interested in buying the ECU from my 95 to use on his 93 R1. My ECU is non-cali and I am fairly certain his is as well. I personally think everything will work and others have stated the same but I am looking for more feedback. He requested the serial number from my ECU to see if it would match his. It does not. Does that really matter? I'd like to sell my ECU just as much as this gentleman would like to have one. I know my ECU is in near flawless shape and it is doing me no good.
