tookwik-i've seen enough 944s to know that this is definatly the stock unit. i just talked to an audi guy in lexington ky who is running one on his 500 4whp audi. the only problem is they are very expensive new from the dealer and if the salvage yard knows what they have...but you gotta love german engineering. spooledup7-i built both pipes(plastic+steel+jb weld). getting a good snug fit first really helps-i learned how to use one of those hydraulic pipe expanders at my neighborhood midas. the total cost of this project got a big boost when i got impatient and contracted a fabricator to build the mount. cost: ic 75, hoses 120, mount 375, duct about 25 for mold supplies and glass, 30 for piping -including 20 i gave to guys at midas for letting me use their hydraulic pipe machine. i think thats everything...wait 8 for hose clamps.

Yea, and they are quite easy to come by in Europe

I will be getting one custom made, and when I'm done with it, I'll post some pics. IC alone will be around $300 and stainless steel piping around $100. Bargain, eh ?

It looks like all you need now is a fan on the backside of the IC for cooling.

Wonder what the pressure drop is across the core? Any flow data from Porsche concerning dealing with its efficiency. Nice clean looking installation.

Great job, I will think about doing the same thing, when my friend wanna get rid of his IC on his 944. How does the 944IC compares to HKS FMIC or Greddy's?

I do believe that the 944 has a 5" fat bastard. Then only about 5.5 inches tall by 20 inches long, with maybe 7 tubes total. The inlet and outlet is like 2.25. Been awhile since I have held one so correct me if I am wrong. Great looking mod, I love it when someone hooks thier car up Junkyard Dog style, and it looks good. You can grab those ICs on Ebay for under $200 weekly.
