94 JDM FD with twins - dumpvalve questions

Hello!

This has been talked about probably hundreds of times, but people never seem to agree.

The original twins running sequensial setup (stock) on a JDM car. You have 2 seperate resirculation valves, right?

So, if you are going to replace them with a "dump" valve blowing into air (HKS SSQV for example), what are you going to have to do? Just simply taking the original valves off, and replace them with 2 HKS valves? Replacing them both with 1 HKS valve? Keeping one of them and replacing the other one with 1 HKS valve?

What are your options? What happens if you do the different things mentioned? Pros, cons..

I know that on a car with air meter (LMM) this will f* up the air/fuel mixture, but the 94 JDM RX-7 doesn't have this kind of thing (LMM) to my knowledge.

Can someone please shed some light on this? I have been trying to ask the same question on our national RX-7 site, but I just get stupid answers from people who probably think I'm some 16 year old dreaming of a supercar.. *sigh*

There is a standard bov on the car you simply take it off and replace it with the aftermarket, and yes there is another one that looks like the stock bov but i believe it has to do with regulating boost. This has been discussed 100000 times please do a search

two one of which is the CRV (charge relief valve, used for pre spooling the secondary turbo and shuts after 4500 rpm) the other ABV of (factory blow off valve) and vents all boost under deaccelerating conditions.

So the original valve is actually an atmospheric (spelling?) valve, making that imo cool sneeshing sound?

The reason I'm asking is because I already have the HKS SSQV from a previous car, and the reason I don't know the stock system yet is because my car is still on England waiting to be shipped over to Norway.

If the stock one is a "dump" valve I will just change it right away. My primary concern was if the stock valve was some kind of return valve that dumps the air back into the system infront of the turbo. Like alot of "modern" cars use..

Thank you for answering, and I have actually searched. A lot of threads about the same thing doesn't mean that my questions got answered. And alot of different threads that doesn't come to a conclusion will just make people ask again and again.

If the question is asked alot of times, why not try to make a sticky with some decent information in it? And just remove all the bogus post from it from time to time.

The original valve does vent to atmosphere, but it is routed through the air box so that the noise is suppressed. You can just swap the valve with any other valve on the market and let it vent to atmosphere.
