94 cluster install

I purchased a 94 cluster and am wondering what all is required to mate it with a 93 harness? I was told that a diode may be needed but clarification would be appreciated.

I did a 93 into a 94.. Plug and play ....except

an auto and manual are different. The face on the tach is different. You would need to twist the needle off carefully and change the face. just be aware ...

should plug right in....I installed a 94 into a 93...if you're installing a manual into an auto your tach will be about 800 off (high)...(if you don't switch faces)
