94 Cali ECU in a 93 Cali FD
The 94 should work fine as the 93 cali had the electronic EGR. IIRC The 94 Cali/ non cali had the electronic EGR so i don't see why not. The biggest reason the Cali ECU is avoided is because of the polution sensor checks and codes that get thrown when eliminated. If your running a Cali ECU then should be no difference. I'm sure if I'm out of line here someone will chime in to put me down the right path. The preferred ECU's are non Cali 93 & 95 Jack
To echo what everyone else has said, 93-94 cali ecus are essentially the same thing, and a 95 would work as well and any federal ecu should work since you would have an EGR position sensor, if you ever want to remove emissions any 95 or a federal 93 would be prefered though as the egr position sensor is hard to fool, most of the rest of the emissions/soleniods are pretty easy to trick. I take it you're a DNB fan from the S/N? I'm a big fan of BC UK myself.

the best thing to put in is a Federal ECU "non-Cali". that way you get rig of the code 16 check engine light problem. this will be a big help when going through cali smog check. I replaced the EGR valve and still get the check engine light code once in a while. so I purchased a non cali ECU to take care of the problem.

No. If it is a CA FD ECU's will be bolt on. ECU's come in 49 state and CA flavors, and are the same respectively from 93-95. 96 was the year for OBDII, and noncoincidentally the last year for the Rx-7. They could not pass emissions on OBDII.
