Great website, just checked it out. Found this to be funny "Unfortunately it’s the only thing I’ve got licensed and working. Odd eh? 3 cars and the FD is the only one I can drive. " Anyways car is bad ***, looks really slick and low only thing to complain about is the wing, but thats just my opinion anyways.

Nice car! In my oppinion, that wing is extreamly .
I think you should go with "wingless look".

anti-ricers are getting as annoying as the ricers.

fact is.. the wing is already on his car. and your going to tell him what to do? he never asked for your opinions so in this case it's better you keep it to yourself.. we all know the "park bench wing" is high on the list of the ARSA community.

From a guy with vertical doors.

Unlike most people here, this guy takes his FD on the track and can actually put his parts to use. They're more than just another entry on his mod list.

Nice car and website GooRoo.

Thanks guys, I'm not a huge fan of the wing either, in terms of style. I greatly prefer the wingless look. However this is no park bench, it's a inverted NACA airfoil with engineered supports and settings. It's a Mazdaspeed (GTC) part that they windtunnel tested along with the GTC nose, so I decided form follows function in this case.

My original idea was to have two hatches, one for the track (with the wing) and one for the street (without it.) I may still do that, but I have many other more important functional issues before I worry about it. If you've been to the track, I'm sure you understand...

Just as a FYI, my anecdotal evidence of wing function is this:

At level one (lowest angle of attack) the hatch stops rattling at 70mph.
At level two (middle) the hatch stops rattling at 60mph.
At level three (highest angle of attack) the hatch stops rattling at 52mph.

Seems like it's doing something anyway. Last event I had it at the lowest setting, I'm going to try it maxed out at the next track day on October 2.

My compliments.

btw just because i have vertical doors doesnt mean i dont track the car. FDNewbie has vertical doors and his car is quite the performer. It was my opinion, and I wasnt the only one to mention it, like I said he has a beautiful car and didnt mean any disrespect.

Great lookin site and pics GooRoo and quite an amazing car as well. I might be the only one that feels this way, but i absolutely love that wing. The Mazdaspeed wing looks so much better than all the other wings, this one just works great with the car.

I also think the diffuser and the wing make the car look killer. Brilliant Black FD's are amazing. Great job man.

Thanks man. I like the wing because of the performance I believe it's capable of. I agree it's much better than most. I wouldn't put anything that wasn't windtunnel tested on mine!

The diffuser is pretty much for show at this point, but it does get rid of the stock parachute on the back, so that was a plus. Eventually there's a project we're going to undertake to make that diffuser match up to something else....

I do love black cars, especially this one.

LOL, ^ I thought I was the only one that felt this way about the stock rear valance.

In any event, car looks great. Are you coming to MAM on Oct. 1st.?

I am! Are you going to be there again? My car has changed a bit since last time we met...

For anyone who doesn't know, there's a Find The Line event at Mid America Motorplex on the 3rd. Sign up page is here.

I also got those pics up from the last event:

Here's a teaser...

I actually started to sign up but checked my calendar. I may be out of town that weekend for work, so I'm not sure yet if I can make it.
And yeah, I noticed the changes. Especially those wheels and tires. They look outstanding.

SSR Integral A2's in 17x9. I think the offset is 45mm.

I bought 2 different sets of 17x9 and 17x8's (one 17x8 was broken,) sold the three good 17x8's in a package with another forum member who had two (shawnk) and kept the four 17x9's. If it sounds complicated, you have it about right. Took me two years of searching and buying/selling to piece it all together.

In the end I got exactly what I wanted for a reasonable cost though!
