Unhappy 93 won't start after high operating temps

Hi guys, after starting my 93 rx7 and running it/boosting it for awhile. The temp under the hood gets really high which i know is generally the case with the stock set-up. (which by the way everything on my fd is stock except for intake and exhaust) But after i turn it off and then try to start it again it seems that it's so hot she doesn't wanna start... Any ideas/suggestions would me much appreciated. I'm a bit of a rotor noob

Check your compression, a lot of times when an engine is on it's way down the compression will be the first thing to go. The cars have a hard time with hot starts when the compression is low, so this is a possible indicator of low compression/dying motors.

If the compression is good then check your starter.

When its really hot it still cranks but it doesn't fire... Now i'm a bit worried, i really hope it's not my compression. I can't afford a rebuild right now =( Any other reasons that could cause it not wanting to fire up when she's really hot? I'm pretty certain it's not my starter

Run a search on Hot Start issues. See if what you find there helps out.

Many things can be affected by heat. However, a compression test is simple and quick. It should be the first thing done so you don't waste time looking at things that won't matter *if* the engine is done.

like everyone said do a compression check if that come out okay, replace the plugs and check your fuel system. the motor could be not getting enough fuel. id start with the fuel filter. another thing to do is after a run is check the fuel pump to see if its hot, if its hot then your pump is running on some hard times if its warm its okay for the time being.

check your fuel pressure solenoid. These cut vacuum to the regulator so, when hot, the pressure is greater( i think thats how it works) check the fsm

Usually, a clogged fuel filter will only affect running at high fuel flow requirements (high HP output). So, while changing the filter is a good thing to do, that is not likely to be the hot-start problem.

Another cheap, easy thing to do is to clean all of your ground contacts. Sometimes with heat soak any poorly grounded system will fail completely. This could be affecting comminuication with the ECU or other components related to ignition. Also pull a spark plug and see if you are getting spark.

EDIT: Just saw this was posted by the OP three weeks ago??!!
