93 Tail light different from 94 and 95?

Well I have a 93 and a 94 Fd and I was looking at the back of the car and i noticed they had different lenses. Im talking about the red and amber part inside the lense cover. On the 93 its just flat but in the 94 lense had raised circles.
Does the 94 and 95 come with different lenses? I think that 94 and 95 were built better than the 93 for example the interior plastic has textured surface and doesnt peel, the glove box is better, and some of the engine parts are replaced with plastic and so on...

From 96-02 the tail lights have circles.

No on the american versions, I know about the 99 spec tail lights it. Ill post a pic.

Oh, by mentioning about the 94s having raised circles, I assumed you thought they had raised circled lens for red and amber as the 96-02 JDM specs.

How funny. It's like they used the same stock of plastics for both the JDM and USDM lights, but changed the cutout.

My 92 Jspec Type-R has the 3 circular tail lights per side, like the later US spec cars. The build quality of the interior is pretty shocking, I've never seen inside a newer FD to compare.

Does anybody have a clue what cars these lenses came on? Im the original owner of this car and never modified this car.

Yeah, that's pretty weird. Looks like somebody tried to cut it out or something.

I used to have a 94 and it had those circles, my car was a late 94 so maybe your is the same.

On the 93 I have now I dont have those circles.

those would look really good w/ the 99spec spray paint ghetto mod. ive heard the real 99spec lights do that too, they bluge out where the circles are, and the rest is black.

could it just be an ugly casting/mold? Like extra crap that didn't peel off when taken out of the mold? Just a thought, I have to go check my 94 and the neighbors 93 for differences.

Yeah mine was one of the last 94 models made. Im asking cause I want to get em for my 93 too and was wondering if the dealers could get em for me. BTW it not a casting mistake.

It is actually "raised" up from the rest of the lens? Or just the outline? Hard for me to tell from the pic. Haven't gotten to the car yet either.

I've a early 94 and it's all smooth inner lense, no raised circle. Mine is modified to 99 spec.

I've modified dozens of stock lights and I haven't seen any like yours. Very interesting. I would convert it to 99 spec or get a real 99 spec instead of another one like your posted picture.
