93 RX7 turns on on its own...

hello im new here and i got a weird problem, i was off to work so i got in my car and when i turned the ignition to the on position it starts as if the key was in the start position. It automatically turns on and when i swith it from acc to on position. Started troubleshooting from the ignition switch but cant find anything on how to test it. Please help!!!

93 Wiring Diagram will help you isolate it and fine out what wires get voltage at a certain key position. Definitely sounds like a switch issue... Sounds like one of the circuits is contacting prematurely from wear.

found the schematics but no values on what key position has what voltage.... anybody know?

Every position besides OFF will send 12v various terminals depending on switch position.

You can determine which lead gets what by looking at the wiring diagrams....the internal wiring diagram of the switch for each position is on the first page for EVERY. SINGLE. SYSTEM. Cross reference a few of those diagrams to common connector X-03 and you've got the info you need to test the switch.

Well I figured out what's wrong.... Actually found out from a Acura forum. What happened is that I lowered my car and with the horrible roads of ky/tn it made a small heat cut I the inner fender lining. Behind that are wires which got exposed and connected. I'm happy it was just that and nothing worse. Thank you guys so much have a great day!
