Thats no good....good thing your ok. If your car is to you like mine is to me you might as well have just had a family member die, really sorry to hear about your lose man. Hope you can get everything back on track!
omg.
sorry to hear about your loss!
I had a (small) engine fire in my 10AE and I still remember the feeling in my stomach and how fast I ran to get the extinguisher when I saw flames.
Weird that it "exploded" instead of "caught fire" I wonder how that happened, injector leak + backfire? or something.

I keep reading about these cars going up in flames its scaring the crap out of me,,,,can we have some info on here about why this happens,,,(why does the fuel pulsation dampener fail,,,,can it be upgraded/ removed)
also what about that recall fuel line,,,,ive checked mine and it hasnt been done ( ive compared the 2 parts on the microfinch,,, the upgraded one has a pressed end fitting rather than just a pipe clamp)...,, more info on preventive measures please.......

What do you plan to do with the burned out shell? I am looking for an FD to turn into a track car,but dont want to ruin a GOOD FD3S to do it. Since your frame is still good I would like to buy if from you.
The Insurnce Co. will give you first dibs on the shell before selling it to a scap yard (cring). Find out how much the buy back is from the Insurnce Co. and PM me if you dont what it for your self. Dont let the Insurance Co. scrap it.

It's a hell of a lot more important than any other reliability upgrades.
