WA 93 FD glovebox cover

For a while I've had problems getting my glovebox to stay closed. Today I discovered the latch assembly has 2 screws holdng it in place and one has fallen out. The problem is the screws are inside the cover and it appears the only way to get to them is to seperate the glovebox cover from the inner liner, but I can't figure out how to get them apart. Anyone got any suggestions or know how to get them apart?

I had a similar issue, there is no way to separate the outer skin from the inner liner. I ended up buying a used glove box from another forum member, it took me awhile to find one in good shape, sorry I can't provide you better news.

I tried everything to get this apart...can't be done without breaking something. I ended up cutting the latch assembly out with a dremel tool. The inside panel is made of ABS plastic so I went to Tap Plastics for advice on gluing it back together. They hooked me up with two types of cement that they said should be strong enough to hold it, plus I'm going to put a layer of CF or fiberglass inside the glovebox to reinforce it.

I had the same issue too. I fixed it last month. I separated the two pieces by breaking the tabs, reglued it with crazy glue and everything's #1! No esthetic issue neither! Try it, I think you have nothing to lose to see what I mean!
