ok I have a 93 base fd and when I get close to redline it starts to beep is this just becuase it is letting me know to shift or can it be warning me about something? I am pretty sure it is just to let me know when to shift but just want to be sure any input is appreciated thanks

Mine started to humm oddly about 7 years ago -perhaps a relationship to the hard run and buzz I got- pulled the wire and never looked back

 

acually..... its the "you still have 2k rpm left" buzzer

 

IT's designed to squek. Pull it out and install a quad pod in it's place
