93 ECU on a 94?

93 ECU on a 94?
Would a 93 tuned ECU work on a 94 FD(5speed) w/o any problems? Is this mechanically no harm to the car?
Would the engine check light come on all the time?

also its a 93 cali ECU to be put on a 94 Non Cali.

the 93 Cal ecu needs to see an EGR switch to not have the check light come on , if the 94 has an EGR with a switch all is well ,if no switch ,the ecu can be tricked ,do a search to find out how.
