93 Bov Assistance Needed

We are wanting to get that fun turbo sound and wondered if the SSQV HKS TURBO BLOW OFF VALVE was compatable with the stock system. Does it take a lot of mods etc?Anyone know if the sound is good? On ebay for $70!

And yes, I know some love stock, I don't. I need the opinion or insight of someone who shares my interest in the fun sounds. No offence, just have read other threads and I truly believe to each his own.
This is my first rice rocket as my other cars are 60s and 70s muscle cars. I am out of my zone on this one!

If it is just the sound you are after, why not get one of these:

You can adjust the volume and pitch too!

Listening to those samples was scary. I can't imagine how dangerous that might be. I mean if I heard someone with one of those while driving the FD I might crash into a tree from laughter.

Ohh and btw notice it is HKS SSQV style. No guarantee on durability or the sound or the fact it might be leaking boost all the time.....

When will people learn 99.9% of time you gotta pay to play.

Whaaaaaat the heck was that?? Do people actually buy that thing? That would go good with that Honda intake that looks like a front mount. Oh God! I can't stop laughing, oooh, my side is starting to hurt!!

Yeah the BOV youre looking at is a knock-off. Get ready to drop like 3 bills on the real deal. I take that back if you want a "rice rocket" just get a honda and put it on there. FD....not so much a ricer car.

Well I have the SSQV BOV... the real thing that is and the sound is very pleasing =) It's a bit loud for some people, but for me it's just right. It really grabs attention. And, YES it is compatible with the stock intake and turbos. All you need is the universal kit which can be found here:

the one you are looking for is a total fake. PLEASE DO NOT BUY IT! i have read articles about knock-offs. this bov will leak thanks to the inferior parts thus your turbos will have to work harder to maintain boost causing unneeded stress. you can tell it is fake by the adjustment screw on the back and the orange color o-ring. get the one that moconnor recommends.

If it's just that "fun sound" just unplug the stock BOV from the airbox. Either way, I agree with the others, I wouldn't trust the cheezy knock-offs.
