93-95 ECU's interchangeable?
I've been digging through the thread and have found a lot of contradictory information. Anybody know if ECU's are interchangeable by year? I also heard there are different ECU's for California RX7's. Is this related to emissions? Can I use a non CA ECU and still pass emissions?
thx

I believe the following:
If you have a 93-california: You can use a 93-california or 94 ECU.
If you have a 93- non-california: You can use a 93 non-california or 95 ECU.
If you have a 94: You can use a 94 and 93-california ECU.
If you have a 95: You can use a 93 non-california or 95 ECU.
Misc information:
93- california: Has EGR valve
93-non-california: Does NOT Have EGR valve
94s are essentially 93 california models as they ALL have EGR valves.
95s, all of them don't have an EGR valve, california or not.
Please correct me if I am wrong guys!
