OK, NOBODY CAN HELP ME, I'M GOING TO GO NUTS!! My 7 wants to hesitate at low throttle. If I drive all nice, it wants to lose power, the boost gauge seems to flicker in psi too! It makes the correct boost, 12-8-10 too!! I get the 7short, 1 long flash on my check engine light, I reset it , and the problem continues!! please help me!!! even if you dont know what is wrong, reply and say something!! thanks!!

Go to www.iluvmyrx7.com and donwload the tech manual (its the real thing from mazda) for your year 7 and there should be the best help you can find, trust me... Its 800 pages so you wont want to try to print it. I burned a CD and brought it to kinkos.

 

A code 71 is a problem with the circuit on your front secondary injector.

Its probably just shorted out or unplugged or something like that, as I don't think its that common for the secondary injector to just die. You're probably gonna have to rip into it to see if you can find the problem. Unless someone has any other ideas....
