60fts with stock sized tires

what are the best times you guys got with the stock sized 225 tires? my best was a 1.99. lately ive been getting 2.2-2.3, how much would a wider contact patch help that out?

If you are really more serious about drag racing, you'll get better results from picking up a pair of stock wheels and mounting M/T drags on them, rather than trying to run wider street tires.

the size doesn't really help that much remember the difference between 225s and 245 is what 20mm?

It's the compound. I ran 1.8 60s no problem with 225 nitto drag radials and used them for daily driving as well. Ended up getting 15k miles out of them with much abuse and I was very pleased with that. hint hint haha

My best was 2.1 on street tires at like 28 psi i think, that was also my first time to the track.

i got nitto 555's on the back of my car, they have hella grip but the sidewalls are too soft and make the car feel bad on corners.
