In the super tuner shoot out the PFS turbo 3 rotor (600 HP) couldn't even make it pass 150 mph with a 15 mph head wind. Unless there is aome extensive aero body modifications, the standard FD will not do 200 period.

top speed is all about restiance, both groud, but mostly air restiance. gear ratio also plays a big deal, as does high rpm power. racing beat has had had their fd (no idea how stock it is - assuming tube frame? but it looks a lot like a fd) to 242 mph.

I have to think an fd with 500 rwhp is capable of 190-200 mph
A bone stock viper 450 brake (not rw) hp gts coupe has hit 189 in testing, and vipers have never been know for their sleek cod.

I would have to say a T-88 on a stock motor is BS... Also so is the 600 HP...
If he had a streetport/sideport it would be very possible though. You can get over 700hp here on a street ported motor..

The PFS car in that article also blew a hose preventing it from reaching 150.
Adam Sawatari wasn't even boosting 20lbs and he dynoed around low to mid 500rwhp and the guy ran mid to high 9s. How much hp do you really need?

Why do you keep assuming that young = naive??
I doubt every 16 year old member is going to run right out and start bolting on a t-78 hoping for 600 hp. My guess is if your able to get your hp that high. You have enough experience to deal with the problems that generally would arise.
We do not need to be told the obvious.

Last night there was a big cruise in at the Dave and Buster's in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. There was a guy there claiming 600 HP (didn't say to the wheels or through the flywheel) on a T-88. I was just wondering if it was possible to have even 600 HP though the flywheel on the stock 13B motor. He was wanting to race anything for pink slips too.

if you do manage to get your FD to 200mph, you will be lifted up into heaven.. or at least it will try. the front fender will lift off the ground, and then it will look like its floating up in the air, then start doing all sorts of flips and then crash. that is fd aerodynamics for you.
Just out of cuosity(sp?) what octane gas are these guys running. Lets say a street driven RX7 is running 108 at $9 a gallon here i dont know a single person that can afford that. Well mabe one guy but hes too rich retired at like 40. Anyway I am trying to get some really high numbers out of my fd And what octane have u guys used to get to what HP. Would 100 get me too 500-550 w/street port. I have a big single kkk Stage 2. or how high do I have to go. These guys running 600+ Hp are running what. You shoud ask him what the one guy is running for gas get a lame response like normal gas. Hess full of ****. Just pointing out the blantantly(sp?) obvious. Please help thanks

No, it's not Chance. I know him. This guy's name is Nick and he drives a green FD. I know he has a single turbo, not sure if it's a t-88 or not. He was just claiming it and wouldnt pop the hood. It's funny too cause my best friend's 1g DSM ripped him up from 0-120 and even at 120 he wasn't pulling on us that hard at all. So yeah it's probably BS, but if anyone wants to make a quick 5k or another pretty quick FD come up to the Cincinnati area on Thursday nights at the Dave and Buster's off I-275. Around 900 cars showed up last week easy.

Wouldn't the tire's outside rolling diameter be more important that the rim size? On any size rims you have profile choices that directly impact the distance the tire would travel in one rotation.
