BI-State Customs in Belleville Illinois does the T-56 Viper tranni swap for 2500. That includes the tranni and install.

They do the Tremec TKO tranni for 2000 installed.

Here is their phone number,

That's very difficult to believe. The transmission alone would cost about that much. D&D charges about $2,499 for their aftermarket Viper conversion T56s, for example.

Considering that there would be several hours of labor required, an adapter plate, a driveline length change, and the powerplant frame mounting to consider, I think that the $2,500 figure is probably for installation and parts, not including the transmission. There's no way they could do it for $2,500. They'd lose their shirts.

Well difficult or not, it will be worth a $2 phone call to find out about their warranty and prices. Sometimes things that seem to good to be true ----aren't and sometimes they are. But you will never know for sure
without checking it out.

You give them a call... I already know that a T56 will fit in my car and what they cost.

Anyone who is interested is certainly welcome to call them, I'm just pointing out what the going price for a Viper T56 is and that it pretty much accounts for their "installed price" all by itself.

That's great. Nobody asked your opinion. Your car hasn't ran in how long?

Great.

Yeah the price seems to be a little low for installation and the tranny. Just my opinion, if anyone cares.

Bi-State customs does do the tranni conversion installed for 2500. They give quotes and actually stick by them. They just got done doing building a Lamborghini. They built the motor with upgraded everything inside the block, along with a custom in house twin turbo kit/ignition/fuel system. The owner was quoted 15,000 for everything installed and guess what he got. 15,000 installed. Just because you deal with rooty pooh shops that take your money on the east coast doesn't mean that's all there is.

Damn that has got to be the best mod ever for that price. I might have to investigate this myself.

Was this your thread? Someone asked about 6-speed transmissions in FDs, and that means open game to anyone with information on the subject. Like it or not, someone knows more about the subject than you do.

But while we're on the subject of poking into other people's business, why don't you explain to all the nice folks why you were banned, why all of your old posts were wiped out and why the name Eric Cheatham was censored at one point... did everyone get the parts they paid for when you parted out your wrecked car, Eric?

If they're into losing money, that's fine with me, but the facts are that you can't install a Viper T56 for that price and cover your expenses unless the person provides the transmission up front. Period. You're wrong, go cry to someone else about it.

Yes they are in quaifeusa.com and they posted a price on it too, but I have asked them, they made it for Trust Japan only and quaife do not sell them and have never sold one because they made it exclusively for Trust Japan. Go to www.trust-power.com and you will see this kit in their site. Oh yea the site is in Japanese so after entering the site click on GREX.
Here to save you some work http://www.trust-power.com/03grex/power_system.html

Open game? I gave everyone a quote from a reputable shop and that's it. You're the one that said I gave a false quote without doing any type of research on his shop. Might want to get all your ducks in a row before you try and call someone out.

Keep crying Jimbo. I'm still here aren't I. If you're so sure of yourself how about you pick up your little phone and call the owner of Bi State Customs and ask him yourself. His name is Ron and his number is 618-234-0069

Jimlab stop poking your head in other peoples buss..

(BTW, who should we trust here? Jimlab vs. Eric Cheatham? The guy who was one of the first to think of/install a v8 in his rx7 and one of the most intelligent people on this forum vs. The guy who's car runs like crap on methanol since he removed the omp and he can't figure out why? The guy who no one has anything bad to say about vs. the guy who's name is in the dictionary under "Scam Artist"? The guy who when he does sell something he has extra he sells it at a very good price vs. The guy who will sell you stuff at a good price but you probably will never receive it or if it's a rotor/housing you'll receive it, but it may be trash. I'm torn.)

Your pet shop is the one that needs to do a little research.

Have they actually done an FD T56 conversion yet? Not likely. Are they even aware of everything that's involved, or did they just quote something assuming they could pick up a Viper T56 for $1k from a junkyard like you can an F-body T56?

I know you don't have any idea of how many components have to change to make the swap or what the cost in parts and labor would be, and obviously, neither does your shop.

Keep crying Jimbo. I'm still here aren't I.
You sure are, and my that's a beautifully riced-out FD you have... do you cruise all the local high schools to get the extra attention you need?

tbielobockie, you're a loser, go away.
And what do you consider a "modern" engine.

tbielobockie, do you think anyone here gives two ***** about your opinions of the rotary engine??? Here...why don't you go somewhere where your auto acumen can be truly appreciated: http://www.stockcarracing.com

Seriously, why waste your time posting if no one cares what you have to say?! If you have a better idea for a 6speed transmission then let's hear it, if not, keep quiet. Thanks.

How come every thread tbielobockie posts in, he feels the need to talk about modern engines and outdated hardware?

Do you understand, the people who drive rotary powered cars do it by choice??? Who are you trying to impress???
