50 shot of nitrous

can the rx-7 handle a 50 shot of nitrous? i've tried it on my previous car and i loved it but i'm not sure if it'll be safe on a RX7....what do you guys think.i already have a DP,exhaust and a pettit ECU that is made for my mods so the car won't run lean and i'm getting an intake and a midpipe. and i'll be running non-seq. and about 11 psi. by the way do rx-7 take dry or wet systems? i'd feel much safer with a wet system because i've used it before.
thanks

Use only WET...If you get the fuel upgrade I'm sure it can handle more NOS. But NOS is used for non sequential and single turbo's mostly as it cancels turbo lag. 50 shot is probably enough, and it's probably the MOST I'll ever squirt into my system

Edit* use ONLY wet

i've been told wet is better than dry by several different people, for the simple reason that the nitrous helps cool down the intake. For this reason wet systems are usually preferred on forced induction engines, however, i'm not sure what effect the rotary engine would play in everything

just my 2 cents

i ran wet on my celica for almost a year and i can't remember how many times i hit the rev limiter and the engine was fine because of the extra fuel, also i theink the rx7 tends to run lean so a wet system would garantee enough fuel

try searching...."nos" it has been talked about b4.

summary: wet and dry is being argued, 50 shot is about all you want to try, and not many people have done it.

This goes back to the issue of having everything tuned properly, as long as you have proper A/F ratio with the NOS, you should be ok, I've seen guys run 125 shot of NOS or more on a rotary and it was ok because the tuning was right, oh don't forget about timing retard if you're gonna use a 100 shot or more(even though I've seen guys do this without any retard) for safety.

Dry system should be fine on a 50 shot.

I know on Rob's site he installed a dry system at a 55 shot, a Zex kit and had an update at 3 months no problems. Here's the link

http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrob...ous_install.htm

It's all about the tuning.

Hope that helps some.

be sure to get the mini bottles you can hide under the passenger seat, or you'll get manifold damage and your passenger floorboard will fall out.

nah, I'm just joking with you. Theres good info in this post, most everyone has already answered your question.

In the elbow by the TB. However, you may need a GReddy elbow to tap into for it.

Thumbs down NAWZ

Do you guys just use NOS on this forum instead of nitrous or are you actually using NOS?
Like my car topped out at 112 this morning I need NOS haha?
Doesn't NOS stand for the company nitrous oxide systems or something?
Say nitrous and I think people will think you are smarter
when you go in to have a cavity worked on, you don't tell the dentist you need NAWZ do you?? hahahahha!!!

It is just a short abreviation and everyone knows what you mean. Sort of like IMO or the ACV or better yet LOL. Do you have anything to contribute to this thread, if not then there is no need to post is there??? I am not flaming and in no way intend this to to be a bash but if you don't have anything useful to say, don't say anything

Talking Stop being mean, I'll kick your ***

Hey ttpowered
I'm in yur face now
Cause I was just joking around on the forum and you know it don't give me **** for that
If it was your best friend on the forum would you make a comment like that after he made a joke? umm no
Sorry I didn't include a fact in my post I will try to contribute more next time instead of correcting you guys for using NOS. I understand that it's an abbreviating for nitrous but it's a wrong association and the way I've learned only rice people directly replace nitrous with NOS man.
I'm not flaming you and I myself am not flaming or a flamer either.
I'm gonna end up being an awesome member on the forum once I get my car so hang in there and try to bear with me for a couple months...
Damn dude I'm really not an *** just try to be cool I'm not meaning to do anything wrong on the forum I'm just learning more and more and tryong to contribute a little wheather it be knowledge or something to make a thread a little more interesting
