Ok, I am just not real happy with how my tranny shifts. Normal driving/clutching it's fine. Shifts real nice and clean.... but lay the hammer down and do some heavy duty shifting and it screams for mercy. The other day I slammed it into 3rd and the shifter went into place... but there was no gear?? Got the levar pulled back down and it shifted fine the rest of the way home.. So it's little stuff like this that make me think the tranny isn't exactly as beefy as it needs to be. So what do you do for upgrades? I figure a set of stronger shift forks and new synchro's would help... but who makes that stuff? And is it worth putting all that work into the stock tranny? I'd love to put a T-5 or even a T-56 in there. Just don't know exactly what the possibilities are. So let me know what we can do transmission wise to make something that's going to be fairly bulletproof.

isn't a t 5 or a t 56 the transmission that is in mustangs????? Don't those suck?
I would rather have the 6 speed from a viper or transam
