5 pounds on second turbo

Hi guys,

I am a newbie to the forum. I have a 93 r1 with that is having problems on the second trubo. I track the car and sometimes especially when it is hot, the car will only hit 5 pounds on the second turbo. The first does does fine and hits 12-13. I am still running hte stock intercoller but I am inthe process of upgrading asap. Thanks for any info

Check your cats.

It is possible that either the pre-cat (if you don't have a down pipe) or the main cat is pugged up. I had a plugged main cat once and boost after transition was very minimal. Take them off and shake them upside down. If pieces come out or you can hear rattling inside, they are toast. You can also look down inside and see if the core looks melted or plugged up.

Good luck,
Jeff
