The amount you were pushing that Porsche club racer dude (especially through the corners) doesn't come through on tape as well as it did watching from in the car... But the proof is in him exiting the track after 2 laps of you on his can!

Nice work D!

Great videos. The 996s seemed to have an edge on the straights. How much boost were you running?

the car is tuned for 370 rwhp at 15psi , but I'm only running 11-12 psi (maybe 320-330 rwhp)... so most higher end cars out there can out power me. I wanted my driving to catch up the cars handling ability before turning up the boost to its tuned level.... and next year I will :-)

When you were following the club racer I wanted you to give 'em a little bump NASCAR style. Hello dude get out of the way!

Awesome VIDS, luckily I work with car guys.

Yep, wait tell you get home. I clogged our network up here at work. They didn't like that. I did watch a few though. Good lines and great videos. I am jealous.

heheh, yeah, there is a story to go along with that vid:

before that session in the vid:

I walk over to the driver and say hi and try to be friendly as I had not seen him before at MAM. He would not really give me eye contact.

He sais:
"beter watch it going so wide in some of the turns, 'racers' (meaning him) will get you in there"

With a smile I reply:
"Well, fortunatly I dont have to worry about that today, there is no passing in the turns at this event"

He sais back, while snikering at his buddy standing next to him:
"yeah but 'racers' will do that, they will pass you in the turns anyway, racers do that"

So at that point I walk away thinking, what a jerk, there are literally new drivers out there and there is no need to have that kinda attitude in an oppen lapping event, this is not a race and that attitude only causes unneeded accidents.

so, guess who I got behind the next session ;-)

... i thought I'd let my driving do the talking, it was obvious after 2 lasp that I got my message accross....he pitted after that ;-)

I really like that car, its got a lot of potential. I'm sorry about that club racer, what-a-jerk. I have a 944 N/A as my daily, so I frequent rennlist.com(porsche club pretty much) and you will find a few guys like that, but the majority are upstanding. Infact I had lost a lot of faith in forums due to my local board(tamparacing.com), but they have restored it!

Now I'm split, to get a 951 or an RX7. Oh well, your videos all rock, nice light sabres.

No offfense, GooRoo, but your damn helmet was gettin' in the way during right-handers sometimes....

What a jerk in the Porsche. I would've sliced up the inside of him anyway and claimed that "my brakes faded badly and then my throttle stuck open, sorry..."

Great vids, great driving.

Yeah, I know. I have a big head.

That and Damian has way too much lateral grip! I assure you it looked great from the passenger seat though...

Damn i wish we had tracks more readily available around this area... I really want to build a strict track racer, but I am afraid I wouldnt be able to get much use out of it without travelling hours at a time each way, which would get rather expensive.

your videos rock though, I can live vicariously through your lapping sessions

damn damian, i will always enjoy your vids..

but i have a question i didnt see anyone ask yet.. we all know you do alot of track racing, what is your routine for your car? i mean like engine/tranny etc wise? do you open up the engine after each race to inspect for failures/flaws? maybe after 2 races, 3?

or do you just run it til it blows? LOL nah jk
