i was wonder if it was realy worth it to put a 4.3 rear end in a an automatic

yes it's worth it . probably the best mod you could do for an automatic. Most bang for the buck, plus you don't have to worry about blowing the engine because you've added too many "air" mods.

a weekend car maybe take it to the local 1/8 mile track on fridays i plan on converting to manual at some point as far as wheels and tires not sure on actual rim width they are 17" with 255/40/17 kuhmo tire. the rims came on the car when i bought it. no the diff is not necessary but i have the money to go ahead and do it
