3rd gen Transmission removal problems

I have a 13b motor with a blown engine, i have a good motor to replace it. i have the engine and trans out of the car and have all components off the blown motor. All i have left is to remove the transmission from the engine itself. I removed all bellhousing bolts and have the release cylinder removed but when i try to remove the transmission i can only get it about 1" away from the engine and then it seems to get stuck. I tried to mess around with it for hours but it just seems like it doesnt want to come apart. Has anyone encountered this problem or know any tips to get the damn thing apart? Let me know. Thanks. Cory

Did you release the bearing in the center?

perfect video, just downloaded it, and no joke about 60 seconds after i watched it my tranny was disconnected. Couple more small questions. how do you check for wear on a pull type clutch and also it is possible to shave down the stock flywheel while keeping enough strength? . I just want to take a few pounds off it since i am going to have it resurfaced anyways. I would just buy a new flywheel but next winter i am going to do some mods so i will buy one then to go with a new clutch. it would be a temporary thing. thanks much.

make sure you have all the bolts off of the pressure plate so you can release it from the fly wheel. Then just push it off the tranny and out it comes. Best of luck with your engine swap.
