3rd gen rx7 master clutch replacement

I have searched about how to replace master cylinder on a fd but have found nothing. I have already changed the slave cylinder. Any guidance will be very helpfull.

There's not a lot to it. It's held in with 2 12mm nuts on the back side and you have the hard line to the slave and the rubber hose going to the brake master reservoir (the clutch master shares the brake reservoir).

Sometimes it can be easier to disconnect the hard line where the clutch flex line attaches and remove the master with the hard line attached.

Be careful of brake fluid, it will eat paint if it sits there long enough. I like to put towels down to catch any drips and if some does get on paint I hose it off with water.

Many times the hardest part is just getting the air out of the system so it will start pumping fluid. You may need a Mityvac or something to start getting fluid to pull through.

It's also covered on page P-11 in the FSM. I also think you might want to bench bleed if possible.

I see one nut i magine this is one of two. I am 6ft 2 and 220 so i think i will need to remove the drivers seat to get clearance. Hope i am on the right track
