They can be interchanged.

Only series 5 2nd gens

The series 4 are heavier and lower compression. You would have to swap both rotors and counterweights to use them

No. S5TII rotors have a cast face, while the FD rotors have a machined face. Not sure about the difference in weight, compression ratio, or durability of the face based on the different manufacturing processes. Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge will chime in.

some are exactly the same as FD's...I've seen both and used one in my current engine. OF course I balanced everything...well Rick Engman did, haha!

Yeah, how about me.

89-95 turbo rotors are all the same. 9.0:1 CR, 9.5lb, machined face.

There is one minor, minor cosmetic difference between the s5 and s6 rotors that only a builder or knowledgeable person could pick out, but it does not impact interchangeability or use in any of the engines.

The 87-88 turbo rotors are totally different; 8.5:1 CR, 10.5lb, cast face.

Kevin, the new site looks great! But is it true, you're no longer into FD's???

No, and I'd like to kill whoever said that was the case. IT's my own fault really, I guess...I let my website guy go live with the new site, which was only 1/3 done. It is supposed to be 3 sites with a homepage that links them all together. I wanted to take our time and get all of the new site done before going live. He wanted to get the new site up part by part. So he went live with only the 2nd gen section, leaving no indication of anything else. The previous page might not have looked as good, but all the links worked and it had info for all generations, both tech and prices. Plus I could edit text if I needed to change a price or change info. As of now it's totally out of my hands, I have no idea how to work with any of the flash pages.

Looking at the compression "bathtub" on the face of each rotor. The FD rotor appears to have a rectangular bathtub, with corners that are almost squared off. In slight contrast, the FC rotor appears a little more like an oval, the edges are more rounded. It's like a 1/4" difference, though, and it doesnt change anything as far as compression or weight.
